Ok.. So I'm not like glued to this sport, but I do watch every fight possible that is televised in the states for UFC, EliteXC, Bodog, Tapout.. etc



So Showtime and Elite XC are promoting there next event.. which has a line up as follows



Pierre Guillet VS Tom Watson

Gary Turner VS Mustapha Alturk

Jean Silva VS Masakazu Imanari



and to headline the event



Ken Shamrock VS Robert Berry...



Who in the heck is ROBERT BERRY? and who wants to watch the old legend Shamrock fight? he looked SOOOO, SOOOO horrible in his last fights against Tito.



So for a main event.. we have a NO NAME Berry taking on THE LEGEND Ken Shamrock (cough) Has lost 7 of his last 9 fights... AND THE LAST 4 LOSSES HAVE BEEN KO's IN THE FIRST ROUND!!!!



What is EliteXC thinking? Of the fighters and talent they have, I have enjoyed following Kimbo Slice, Nick Diaz, Robbie Lawler, Jake Shields, and a revived Ricco Rodriguuz..

Not only did Randy not Chuck spank Tito, but Shamrock was murdered 3 times by Tito. He's not any good lady, get over it.



Another great showdown by one of the many orgs that is going to kill the evil UFC right? Good thing Shaw's in deep with Showtime, because they wouldn't sell 100K PPV's with cards like this. They've had one meaningful main event since they got started (Lawler vs. Ninja) and that's it. I'm going to laugh my *** off when Berry beats Shamrock... Oh wait that won't happen. It'll be another controversial fight that looks like it could have been fixed.

Reply:They are trying to build fighters up, as their talent pool is not as deep, they are trying to get fighters reputation and names up to set up big fights.



Rumor is there is going to be a Ken vs. Frank Shamrock fight coming down the line. They probably set this fight up, to try to get a few wins under Ken's belt to draw in big revenue.



Honestly I have sneaking suspicions about EliteXC, that fight with Kimbo and Cantrell looked worked to a high degree. It wouldn't surprise me if Ken pulls off some very "impressive" victory via laydown by Berry.



But the whole purpose of this is to try to rebuild Ken's name so that a fight with Frank draws in that many more people.

Reply:this fight is from Cage Rage in England, which EliteXC has bought out. and its a chance for them to try and make money with Ken Shamrock, good or not, he is a name familiar to mma. they also signed his son to fight too.

Ken will most likely fight lesser known fighters to build him up to cash in on. the same with Kimbo, to build up some "legitimacy" to these fighter's ability.
Reply:I haven't read the whole question, but Tito needs to be knocked down a few notches. He's NOT the BEST, Shamrock got screwed the first fight and the second one, was better. But I think he could take Tito on a good day. Remember when Chuck Liddell LITERALLY spanked Tito? Now THAT was funny
