Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock?

Please help. I used to keep up with the UFC when I was younger. I have not watched in like 8 years. Apparently, Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock have had something going on for a while. How many times have they fought? I think three but did this Tito kid win them all?

Yeah, you missed a lot then. Seriously, their feud is legend in the UFC, but usually anybody's feud with Tito Ortiz is legend. anyways, you might want to try and find some one that recorded TUF season 3 where they both were coaches. there's some good stuff there and then after that they fought again during UFC 61. you can buy that online or in stores for about $15 and then since Tito destroyed Ken in the 1st round of that fight and there was a controversial stoppage, Dana let them have a rematch a few months later, and Tito did the same exact thing to Ken that he did the 2nd time. Tito has totally dominated Ken in all of their fights and their between fight trash talk drama is always classic. Ken retired after losing to Tito the 3rd time and supposedly they burried the hatchet after that.

Reply:They had a rivalry because after Tito beat Guy Mezger in 1999 he put on a shirt that said "Gay Mezger is my Bi***!" Ken Shamrock tooks offense because Mezger was a Lions Den fighter and began to yell at Tito and Tito flipped him off. Ken was very offended and they had a very hate filled rivalry for years, they finally fought in 2002 at UFC 40-Vendetta, Tito won when the fight was stopped after the 3rd round because Ken coudl no longer continue the fight. Tito pretty much punched Kens face in during the fight, Ken looked horrible when the doctors stopped the fight, his face was so swollen his eyes were barely open. The fought again at UFC 59 in 2006, Tito won by TKO at 1:18 of the first round, there was some controversy over the stoppage, some felt the ref stopped the fight to early but Ken was clearly not defending himselfm his arms dropped and he was getting hit by heavy elbows, it was a good stoppage before more damage was done. Due to the controversyy regarding the fight the UFC held a third fight between the two that took place on Spike TV on 10/10/06, again Tito won by TKO at 2:23 of the first round. After the fight Ken and Tito shook hands. Tito won all 3 fights and made it look simple.

Reply:The feud started when Tito beat Guy Mezger (a member of Ken Shamrock's lion's den), and without reason just flipped Ken off. This infuriated Ken, and the feud started.



They fought 3 times, and Tito won all of them.
Reply:The feud was a cash making technique. Sure Ken was pissed Tito flipped the Den the bird. Sure they hated each other in their first fight. Then it was over.



Everyone saw a good way to market TUF3 and jumped on it. After the 3rd fight Ken even said it was all about the money and Tito was like "Oh I know man"
Reply:Yes they have fought a total of 3 times. The last being a free event on SPIKE TV. I am not 100% on the amount of time the first fight lasted, but I know the second and final fights were under 2 minutes in the first round each. After the third fight, they kind of made ammends in the ring which was nice...i guess.
Reply:Tito and Ken fought three time, and Tito schooled him every time. Like it wasn't even close.



These two have bad blood between them. When Tito beat a fighter from Shamrock's lion den, he flipped the bird to that fighter's corner. Which Tito did all the time, along with his "I am digging your grave" routine.



Ken saw this as disrespectful to him. And so the talking began, Tito not backing down of course. They fought, Tito dominated him for three rounds of ground n pound. And it seemed things cooled of a bit after that.



Then came Ultimate Fighter tv, and both were coaches for opposing teams. And the feud started again. Second fight came and Tito trashed Ken within seconds. Causing a stir that maybe the fight was stopped too early. So another rematch was set, with the same outcome. Tito forced a referee stoppage again.
