Will you 'wet' or 'drown' the shamrock on Saturday?

Everyone seems to think that us Irish fall about the place drunk every St Patricks day, but it has been my observation that the people who actually do this are ex-pats or wannabee Irish, what do you think.

Will you 'wet' or 'drown' the shamrock on Saturday?
Im Irish and i'll start out with the best intentions of maybe dampening the shamrock but i know by the end of the night (following morning) it will be well and truly drowned.
Reply:Most People have just a couple of Drinks . There is always a few though who get Maggoty drunk, but they get Maggoty Drunk every Weekend anyway no matter what is on.
Reply:I think alcoholics of all nationalities use this day as an excuse to be drunk all day.
Reply:ye i agree, not all Irish fall about on st Patrick's day only some!!!! its just an reason/excuse to have a get together. All the o'neill's pubs across the country are jammed packed with Irish and non Irish people just having a good time!
Reply:Ya, the saying goes...Everybody is Irish on St. Pat's Day. So I think a lot of folks just use it as a good excuse to get hammered. LOL
Reply:It's the Aussies.
Reply:i agree
Reply:Just wet. I want to be able to drown my other shamrock later in the evening
Reply:im irish and i get pissed on paddys day, today im going to soak the shamrock big time.
Reply:I think everyone is "Irish" on St. Patty's Day! I don't see the Irish in my community any more or less drunk, than any other

Holiday reveler.

As someone who is Irish, American Indian %26amp; Italian , I let my "Irish" out to have some fun, unfortunely, the Indian side just does handle it as well as it could!
