Ken Shamrock, in his prime, vs. Rampage?

who wins?

Ken Shamrock, in his prime, vs. Rampage?
I think Rampage. Although Shamrock in his prime was a bad ***, I still think Rampage.
Reply:Rampage definitely. Shamrock never evolved to the level of todays MMA fighters. If you watch his classic fights he was pretty poor in his ground game when he fought against Gracie. Back then the best he could do was hold him down and head butt him repeatedly. You cannot head butt anyone today, but must win via submission, you cannot also lay on the ground for an entire fight and wait for an opening as you did back in that era.

If there was a fight today with both fighters in their prime, Rampage would definitely knock out Shamrock.
Reply:rampage, hands down... mma has evolved too much since shamsrock was in his prime. rampage is too well rounded.
Reply:wow, that's an interesting question. but shamrock in his youth was pretty good at submission wrestling and rampage hasn't impressed me with his gound game even though he claims to be wrestler. so in his prime, i think shamrock would win.
Reply:I think that it would be rampage, People don't know that rampage is actually one of the sports top wrestlers he is not in the top five but he is in the top ten. Plus his hands and stand up would have just desroyed shamrock.
Reply:Ken Shamrock has always been overrated. Let's look over the noteworthy names he's stepped into the ring or cage with and re-evaluate his 26-12-2 record.

Masakatsu Funaki (2-1)

Royce Gracie (0-1-1)

Bas Rutten (2-0)

Minoru Suzuki (0-2)

Dan Severn (1-1)

Oleg Taktarov (0-0-1)

Kazuyuki Fujita (0-1)

Don Frye (0-1)

Tito Ortiz (0-3)

Rich Franklin (0-1)

Kazushi Sakuraba (0-1)

These guys had stellar to average careers in mixed martial arts and the results are:

5 wins 12 losses 2 draws

Now let's take a look Quinton Jackson's 29-6 record.

Mike Pyle (1-0)

Marvin Eastman (1-1)

Kazushi Sakuraba (0-1)

Igor Vovchanchyn (1-0)

Kevin Randleman (1-0)

Mikhail Illoukhine (1-0)

Murilo Bustamante (1-0)

Chuck Liddell (2-0)

Wanderlei Silva (0-2)

Ikuhisa Minowa (1-0)

Ricardo Arona (1-0)

Murilo Rua (1-0)

Mauricio Rua (0-1)

Matt Lindland (1-0)

Dan Henderson (1-0)

The same went for these guys. Stellar to average mixed martial arts careers. Results:

13 wins 5 losses

The same number of noteworthy fighters faced and a turnaround in records. I would bet the bank on Quinton Jackson by ground and pound to the death.

The U.F.C. needs to remove Ken Shamrock and his 7-6-2 U.F.C. record from their Hall of Fame.
