Painting decisions?

I'm going to be moving in with my boyfriend's grandma's house and she's letting us paint the kitchen any color we want and I was thinking of shamrock green because I have dish towels and rags that say "Kiss me I'm irish" So what do you think?

Painting decisions?
Wow, that would certainly be bold! It's not my personal taste but if you like it...

Shamrock green seems very overwhelming for a kitchen.

I would go with a lighter shade of green.

You want your accessories to "pop". They would fall into the background, I think, if the wall color is the same.

Coordinate... don't match... That's just MY rule :)
Reply:Shamrock green would really only look good if everything else in the kitchen was white (cabinetry, counters, etc). If not, and you still want to match the towels, I would go with an apple green .
Reply:depends on the units, atip i had was never paint your kitchen a colour that is not the colour of food......ie sky blue
Reply:That shade of green would become awfully tiresome after a while; not to mention; do you plan on keeping the towels forever and ever? of course not.......it you really like green, it should be something not so bold....your accessories, though, could be the bolder green if you really like green....
Reply:tacky and i'm irish just go with a pale green and the towels etc. will match
Reply:Will she be living there as well? If so, that may be a bit extreme. If it were me, I would show her a paint chip and ask her opinion. This is your boyfriend's family. Make a good impression by asking first.
