So if the Trinity is analogous to the triple point of water, that means it only exists at 0.0098 °C.
Sound like Hell freezing over to me.
Trinity: Why is the shamrock a good analogy, and water is heresy?
They're both bad analogies. An individual leaf of a shamrock isn't the "whole" shamrock, and water changes from state to state, whereas in the trinity all three states are simultaneously present.
If somebody really wanted to develop a good analogy for the trinity they would use fractals. A part of a fractal actually can be equivalent to the whole fractal, and all the parts are always simultaneously present.
For the record, I don't believe in the trinity, I just think the analogies people use to explain it don't hold up.
Reply:The Trinity doctrine itself is heresy, but they will deny it tooth and nail. There is no good way of defining it. That is why many prefer to think of it as a "mystery".
Reply:This is for Vishal, Have you not heard of the triple point, where all three states of matter can exist at one time?
Reply:never knew it was heresy.....
