Because St Patrick's day was the 15th this year because of Holy Week
Why is'nt yahoo uk and ireland homepage sporting it's shamrock for st.patricks day?

Reply:No, the church deemed in inappropriate for St Patricks to be during Holy week and it was moved to the 15th, rubbish i know but there it is.

He would've have found Easter more important and not rubbish.
I would suggest if you have nothing in common with St. Patrick than being Irish then why bother havinga celebration about him?? Seems slightly crazy, and quite hypocritical.
