I want to get a shamrock tattoo but do some colours fade faster/more than others?
Green tattoo ink compared to other colours?
You take care of the tattoo, it will retain it's colors. Only thing is some weaker colors like yellow %26amp; white will not show up so clearly on most skin tones. Normally these colors are used by tattoo artists to highlight the tattoos.
Reply:Green should be fine, it is the red and yellow tones that are the hardest to hold for some people.
Reply:VoDoo is the best ink - the lighter the color the more it could fade..... use bright vibrant colors if anything have them go over it if it does fade.
Reply:April - If you're already considering removal before you even get the tattoo, you shouldn't be getting it. Duh. The whole POINT of getting a tattoo is that it's permanent. I'm sure if she wanted a temporary tattoo, she could find one.
Green holds up just fine. Just make sure you go to a talented artist, use good aftercare, and use suncreen on your tattoo (but really, you should use it everywhere anyway) to protect it from sun damage.
Reply:i don't know, but the greens and yellows are hardest to remove. so do you really want this tattoo for the rest of your life? if you ever get it removed, it will be a long painful process. always think twice.
Reply:My mom has green in her tattoos and they look fine. I think fading depends on how hard the tattoo artist goes into your skin. If you want it to look good, you can take the pain, and your tatto will look great. You also have to take good care of it so fading won't occur. But green shouldn't fade more than any other color.
