Reply:Haven't actually worn the shamrock for about 60 years - my Convent school days - at the insistence of my Irish mother - who seemed unaware this risked a sound kicking by a gang of Proddie kids.

All very confusing - perhaps I drink too much. Easter seems to have come early this year. What's going on ? Is Gordon Brown fiddling the figures again ?
